A tragic accident has seen a young woman killed while trying to change a car tyre on the side of a busy Sydney freeway.
The woman, believed to be aged in her mid-20s, was city-bound on the Warringah Freeway in Crows Nest when she stopped due to a flat tyre, shortly before 12.40am on Sunday.
Another driver had pulled over to help when the woman was struck by a minibus, also travelling east.

She suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
The man who was assisting the woman was treated for shock.
The male driver of the minibus was taken for mandatory breath blood and testing.
The eastbound lanes of the freeway were closed for the Crash Investigation Unit to scour the scene.
