A woman has died after being hit by a truck at Coolum Beach.
The shocking accident happened just before 5.00pm on School Road.
Police say initial investigations suggest the 39-year-old was getting out of her car when she was struck by the large vehicle.
She died at the scene.
The driver of the truck, a 39-year-old man, escaped uninjured.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
