Woman hospitalised after ‘hitting head’ at popular kids playground

A woman’s recovering in hospital after an accident at a playground in Southport.

The woman, in her 40s, is believed to have hit her head on play equipment at the Broadwater Parklands around 3.30pm on Saturday.

Paramedics, including critical care paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit were all called to the scene.

The woman was treated for a head injury before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said she was transported in a stable condition.
