Woman hospitalised after crash with taxi in Sydney

NSW: A YOUNG woman is in hospital with suspected pelvic injuries after crashing her car into a taxi in Sydney’s inner west.

The accident occurred in Strathfield around 2.50am this morning. Police said the woman’s Mazda3 collided with a taxi at the intersection of Parramatta Road and the M4.

She suffered suspected pelvic injuries and was transported in a stable condition to Westmead Hospital.

Police said the woman is believed to be aged in her 20s. It’s expected she will also undergo mandatory blood and urine testing.

The driver of the taxi escaped injury.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
