Woman hospitalised with ‘severe head injuries’ after being hit by car

A woman has been rushed to hospital with severe head injuries after she was struck by a car in Sydney’s west.

The accident happened in the suburb of Glendenning just before 6pm on Saturday.

Police say the 53-year-old woman was crossing Richmond Road when she was struck by a Holden Commodore.


She has been taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition with severe head injuries.

The driver of the car, a woman believed to be aged in her 20s, was uninjured.

She was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
