A DRIVER has been taken to hospital after colliding with a cow on a highway west of Brisbane.
It happened in the small town of Coominya, in the Somerset Region, just before 8.30pm on Friday.
The woman struck the animal on the Brisbane Valley Highway, near Coominya Connection Road.

Queensland Ambulance said the woman, believed to be aged in her 30s, escaped serious injury.
She was treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
