Woman killed in Blue Mountains crash
A woman has been killed in a crash in the NSW Blue Mountains.
The accident occurred along the Great Western Highway at Wenworth Falls just after 7pm last night.
Police said it was raining heavily when a Toyota Landcruiser 4WD travelling east along the highway left the road and hit a tree.
The driver of the 4WD, a 67-year-old woman, died at the scene.
The passenger, a 17-year-old boy, escaped with only minor injuries.
He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the Nepean Hospital.
A crime scene was established and one lane of the Great Western Highway was closed while the site was examined and the wreckage cleared.
