Woman killed after car ploughs into tree outside NSW home

A WOMAN has been killed after losing control of her car and crashing into a tree outside a house in NSW.

The accident happened at Tuncurry, on the state’s North Coast, at around 4pm on Saturday.

Police said the 85-year-old woman’s Holden Barina left the road and ploughed into the front yard of a house on South Street where it came to a stop after smashing into a tree.


The woman suffered life-threatening injuries and sadly died in the back of an ambulance on the way to hospital.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
