A MOTHER-of-two has been killed in a horror crash between a car and a passenger train in regional Victoria.
The accident happened on a level crossing near the town of Cressy, west of Geelong, on Friday afternoon.
Police said the Overland passenger train was making its way to Melbourne from Adelaide when it collided with a vehicle on the crossing near Nelsons Road shortly before 5pm.

The car was obliterated on impact and was dragged along the tracks before the train came to a stop.
Sadly, the woman behind the wheel of the car suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.
She was a mother of two.
Police said no one on board the train was injured in the collision.
The cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
