Woman killed in horror head-on collision with truck in NSW

A woman has died after her car collided head-on with a truck in NSW yesterday.

Around 3:20pm, emergency services were called to Ballina Road at Alstonville following reports of a serious crash.

Police have been told that a Mazda crossed onto the wrong side of the road and crashed into a truck.

The driver of the Mazda, a 35-year-old woman was rushed to Lismore Base Hospital however, died from her injuries.

The driver of the truck was not injured and was taken to Lismore Base Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
