Woman killed in three car crash near Yass, NSW

A woman has been killed in a horror three-car crash at Bowning, near Yass, today.

Police say a small sedan collided with two oncoming cars on Lachlan Valley Way, five kilometres west of the Hume Highway, at around 12pm.


The 26-year-old female driver of the sedan died at the scene.

The two other drivers – both men – were taken to Yass Hospital for treatment of minor injuries and mandatory blood and urine testing.

Detectives from the Hume Local Area Command are investigating and will prepare a report for the Coroner.

Lachlan Valley Way was expected to remain closed for several hours.

Police say the fatality is the eight since Operation Arrive Alive was launched for the festive season.
