Young woman killed, man critically injured in single vehicle crash
A YOUNG woman is dead and three men are in hospital – one of them in a critical condition – following a single vehicle crash near West Wyalong, in Central West NSW.
Police said the group was travelling along Lake Cargelligo Road in a Toyota Hilux along when it rolled at Ungarie shortly after 5am on Saturday.
A 19-year-old woman sitting in the backseat suffered life-threatening injuries and died at the scene.
A 23-year-man sitting in the front passenger seat was critically injured. He was rushed by ambulance to West Wyalong Hospital from where he was airlifted to Canberra Hospital.
The driver, also a 23-year-old man, and a third passenger, a 22-year-old man, were spared life-threatening injuries.
They were taken to West Wyalong Hospital before being transferred to Orange Hospital for treatment.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.
