Woman knifed during brawl in South Brisbane

Two women have been arrested and a third is in hospital after an argument reportedly escalated into a physical fight at South Brisbane on Saturday night.

Police will allege the women had been socialising in Musgrave Park when they started arguing at around 6.30pm.

One, a 48-year-old from Fortitude Valley, walked away however she was followed by the other two.

It’s claimed that as the woman was walking out of the park another argument broke out, during which time the 48-year-old was stabbed several times.

The victim managed to get away and wave down a passing motorist who drove her to a nearby address and then called emergency services.

She was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police arrested two women at Musgrave Park with a 23-year-old Stafford woman and a 33-year-old Riverview woman currently being questioned.
