Woman left fighting for life after crash

A WOMAN has spent the night fighting for her life in hospital following a shocking crash in the Lockyer Valley.

The 29-year-old was driving a truck which left the road and smashed into a tree at Murphy’s Creek on Friday afternoon.

It happened on the corner of Murphy’s Creek and Watts roads about 3pm.

The woman was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where she remained last night, in a critical condition.

She was the only person travelling in the truck at the time.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
