Woman loses finger in fight north of the Coast

A woman’s lost a finger during an argument in Logan, north of the Gold Coast.

She was on her own when she was found by some people passing by on Ison Road at Greenbank at around 9:30PM on Friday night.

The victim also had injuries to her face and leg.  Police were called and found her severed finger nearby.


She was taken to the Princess Alexandra hospital where doctors will try to reattach her digit.

A 42-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman have both been charged with one count each of deprivation of liberty, torture, unlawful wounding, grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning bodily harm.

They are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Saturday.
