Missing Labrador woman found safe and well

UPDATE: A 59-year-old woman who was reported missing from a Labrador residence since yesterday morning has been found safe and well.

The woman had been planning on travelling to Southport and Broadbeach before returning home in the afternoon.

When she failed to keep an appointment with a friend at Gooding Drive police were called.


The woman was found safe and well at Labrador around 11.10am today.

EARLIER: Police are appealing for help from the public to try and locate a woman missing from Labrador.

59-year-old Roma Burkill left an Elm Street residence on Sunday morning where it is believed she planned on catching a bus into Southport, before travelling to the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, and then on to visit a friend at a Gooding Drive address.

Ms Burkill never kept that appointment.

Police are now appealing for public assistance to help locate Ms Burkill after she failed to return home and was reported missing to police.

Police are concerned for her safety and well-being as her disappearance is out of character.

Ms Burkill is described as Caucasian, approximately 158cms tall with a proportionate build, fair complexion, grey hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a short sleeve cardigan, pink shirt and beige long pants.
