UPDATE: Woman pulled from aquatic centre pool
UPDATE 5.30PM:Â A woman has lost her fight for life after being pulled from a public pool on the Sunshine Coast.
She was rushed to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a critical condition on Monday afternoon but could not be revived.
Paramedics tried to save the woman, aged in her mid-40s, after she was found unresponsive at the Kawana Aquatic Centre about 1.45pm.
EARLIER: A woman has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after nearly drowning on the Sunshine Coast.
She was pulled from the pool at Kawana Aquatic Centre around 1.45pm on Monday.
Paramedics rushed to the centre on Sportsmans Parade and performed CPR.
The woman, aged in her mid-40s, was then taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
