Woman rammed off motorway in terrifying road rage incident

A GOLD Coast woman has been left with neck and back pain after she was allegedly rammed off the road by another female driver during a terrifying road rage incident on the M1.

Arundel photographer Cristal Bettany says she was targeted after changing lanes to avoid a merging motorist on the Pacific Motorway at Tweed Heads on Saturday.

It’s alleged the woman driving behind Cristal tailgated her for several kilometres before passing and cutting in front of her path.

Cristal told Channel Nine she merged into the other lane, but the furious driver pulled up beside her and screamed abuse before ramming her off the highway.

“I was drifting and fishtailing and then the car spun twice and it smashed head on at 100 kilometres per hour into the barrier,” Cristal said.

Cristal’s car was badly damaged and police are still looking for the accused driver, believed to be driving a car similar to the one pictured below.
