Woman robbed and assaulted north of the GC
Police are investigating after a woman was assaulted and robbed at Woodridge north of the Gold Coast.
Around 2.30pm on Sunday the 57-year-old walked out of a licensed premises on Blackwood Road and toward a car parked on the street.
As she approached she noticed a man leaning through a smashed window grabbing a number of items from inside the vehicle.
The woman challenged the man who turned and hit her in the face several time before stealing her handbag and running off in a northerly direction.
She wasn’t badly injured and investigations are continuing.
