A WOMAN has been run over and killed by a truck at a busy intersection in Sydney’s north.
It happened where Sherbrook Road meets Burdett Street at Hornsby shortly before 1pm.
The female pedestrian died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified, police said.

The driver has been taken to Hornsby Hospital for mandatory testing.
Officers from Ku-ring Gai Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
It’s the second accident of its kind in Sydney in as many days.
A 40-year-old man was last night charged with dangerous driving occasioning death following a similar incident in the city’s Inner West on Thursday.
The man was driving a Holden Commodore which struck and killed a 55-year-old man at Strathfield around 10.40am.
The driver was taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory drug and alcohol testing before being charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death.
The man, from Waterloo, was refused bail and due to appear in Burwood Local Court today.
His licence was also suspended.
