Woman rushed to hospital after being bitten by snake at Burleigh

A woman has been taken to hospital after being bitten by a snake at Burleigh.

The woman was at a home at Burleigh Waters when she was bitten just before 9.00am.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Robina Hospital for treatment.


Queensland Ambulance confirmed the woman, aged in her 30s, was transported in a stable condition.

It is not yet known what type of snake was involved.

Meanwhile, a man has been taken to the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital after he was bitten by a snake at a home in Enoggera, Brisbane around the same time.
