Woman rushed to hospital after being attacked by bull

A woman has been taken to hospital after being attacked by her bull in a paddock at Berkshire Park this morning.

The incident occurred shortly before 9am (Monday 20 July 2015), on the property on First Avenue, when the bull reportedly turned on its owner.

A neighbour intervened by driving a vehicle into the paddock to provide assistance and protect the injured woman from further injury.

A Careflight helicopter crew attended the scene and treated the woman on site before she was transported by road to Westmead Hospital, where she is reported to be in a stable condition.

Police from Penrith Local Area Command attended the scene and worked with council rangers to euthanize the animal.
