Woman slashed with knife at Logan Central

A MAN has been charged after a woman sustained a number of lacerations to her body outside a residence at Logan Central last night.

It is alleged around 8.15pm a 36-year-old woman went out to her vehicle parked in the front yard at Yugumbri Crescent and was approached by a man armed with a small box style knife.

The man allegedly struck at the woman with the knife causing lacerations to her chest and leg. A 17-year-old man went to the woman’s defence and the man fled the scene in a 4WD.


The woman was transported to hospital for treatment to her injuries.

Police located the man at a residence a short time later.

It is alleged the man and the woman are known to each other.

A 46-year-old Kingston man has been charged with unlawful wounding and assault occasioning bodily harm.

He is due to face the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
