Woman spared serious injury after car slides off wet road near Mt Tamborine
A WOMAN has miraculously escaped serious injury after her car slid off a wet road and plunged down a hill near Mount Tamborine in the Gold Coast hinterland.
The accident happened along Tamborine-Oxenford Road at Wongawallan just after 11am on Sunday.
It’s understood the car slid off the wet road and travelled 10 metres down an embankment before coming to a stop.
The driver, a woman aged in her 30s, was assessed by paramedics at the scene after complaining of neck pain.
She was later transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
