Woman allegedly spat on, punched unconscious by man after dog fight

POLICE are hunting a man after a 68-year-old woman was allegedly spat on and punched unconscious following a fight over a dog in Brisbane.

It’s understood the altercation broke out at the Sandgate foreshore between 7am and 7:30am this morning, when the pair became involved in scuffle over the man’s grey American Staffy.

Police say the man has “allegedly spat on the woman and punched her in the face, causing the woman to lose consciousness and fall to the ground.”

She was rushed to hospital for treatment.

The man is described as aged in his 30s, Caucasian with an olive complexion, about 180cm tall and was seen wearing a yellow top, dark pants and no shoes.

He was last seen walking towards Second Avenue with his dog.

Police are appealing for anyone that witnessed the incident or may have CCTV or dashcam footage of that area to contact police.
