A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after she was stabbed in the leg during an alleged carjacking on the Gold Coast.
Detectives are investigating after the 50-year-old woman told police she was driving along Parkwood Boulevard, Parkwood around midday on Thursday when she pulled over to the side of the road.
An unknown man is then said to have jumped into the front passenger seat of her car and demanded she drive him around.

The woman complied, driving around before stopping at Paradise Point.
The man threatened her with a knife and demanded cash and jewellery before stabbing her in the leg and stealing her rings.
He then ran from the scene.
The Parkwood woman drove to a nearby residence and contacted police.
She was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital with two small wounds to her leg.
Investigations will continue.
