Woman struck by brick after out-of-control house party turns violent

A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a brick during a violent and out-of-control house party in NSW.

The chaotic scenes unfolded about 10.00pm on Saturday, when police were called to a house in Oak Flats, on the NSW south coast, following a number of noise and disturbance complaints.

Upon arrival, officers found about 150 people at the rental property.

It’s understood the crowd began to throw bricks and bottles which caused significant damage to the house, with police also forced to deploy OC spray while trying to disperse the party.

A resident of the house, a 26-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries after she was hit by one of the bricks.

Police say an 18-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly threw an item at officers.

The young woman was charged with throw missile at police officer executing duty no actual bodily harm and has been released on conditional bail to appear in Port Kembla Local Court on 30 January.

During a search of the home officers also located and seized two cannabis plants.

Police say inquiries are continuing.
