Woman threatened at knife-point in servo hold-up

A WOMAN has been threatened at knife-point during an armed hold-up at a service station on the Gold Coast.

Police are still searching for the armed offender following the terrifying incident in Southport on Wednesday.

It’s alleged a man in grey trackies, a blue hoody and blue and white stripe Adidas shoes walked into a servo on Marine Parade, near Stevens St, just after 11am and produced a knife.

Police said the man forced his way behind the counter and threatened the 23-year-old female attendant with the knife before stealing an amount of cash and cigarettes and fleeing on foot.

He was last seen running down High Street.

The man, described as being 160cm tall, was wearing grey track pants with a stripe down the side, a dark blue hooded jumper, a dark beanie, and white socks with blue and white stripe Adidas slip-on shoes.
