Woman to appear in court charged over Surfers Paradise stabbing

A WOMAN is due to appear in court today, charged over the alleged stabbing of a woman at a hotel in Surfers Paradise at the weekend.

Police and paramedics were called the property on Surfers Paradise Boulevard around 2.30pm on Saturday.

Speaking to myGC at the time, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said a team of paramedics were on the scene, treating a 35-year-old woman for multiple stab wounds.


The woman was then rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital with injuries to her head and shoulder.

Following ongoing investigations, a 20-year-old Upper Coomera woman was charged with acts intended to maim, obstruct police and breach of bail.

She’s due to face Southport Magistrates Court today.
