Woman to face court over bungled ATM robbery

A WOMAN was scheduled to face court today, charged over the bungled robbery of an ATM on the Gold Coast over the weekend.

Police allege the woman from Bundall – and a second man who is still on the run – attempted to bust into the Automatic Teller Machine using a pair of bolt cutters on Coomera Grand Drive in Upper Coomera at around 3.15am on Sunday morning.

The machine was damaged by the force of the tools during the incident, however was unable to be busted open.

The pair left the scene empty handed.

The 19-year-old woman was later arrested and charged with attempted stealing and wilful damage.

She was scheduled to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.

Police investigations are continuing and police continue to search for the second man.
