A woman is set to front Southport court today over a horror stabbing attack in Surfers Paradise over the weekend.

Police and paramedics were called to Eilen Peters Park along the Esplanade around 8.30 pm on Saturday night.

It appeared an argument had broken out between three people before a 53-year-old woman pulled out a small kitchen knife.
