Woman rescued after becoming trapped in car following Oxenford crash
UPDATE @ 1.00pm: A woman has been taken to hospital following a crash at Oxenford.
The accident occurred on Tamborine Oxenford Road just after 11.30am.
Emergency crews worked desperately to free the woman who was trapped in a car which had become stuck on an embankment.
She has since been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Traffic in the area is still heavy with motorists urged to seek alternative routes.
EARLIER @ 12.10pm: Emergency crews are currently at the scene of a serious crash at Oxenford.
