Woman treated for burns after caravan incident in Jacobs Well

A WOMAN has suffered superficial burns in a small explosion in her caravan at Jacobs well on Monday night.

It’s understood the woman was cooking dinner around 6.45pm when the incident occurred although it’s not yet known what sparked the explosion.

Ambulance crews were called to the scene on Pimpama-Jacobs Well Road where the 60-year-old woman was treated for superficial facial burns.

She was taken to Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.

Two fire crews were also called to the scene but were not needed.
