Woman, two children hospitalised after Gold Coast house fire

A woman and two children have been rushed to hospital following a house fire in Ormeau.

The blaze broke out just before 6.30pm on Friday, with eight Queensland Ambulance crews including Critical Care Paramedics and the High Acuity Response Unit called to the scene.

A woman in her 30s was treated for burns to her hands, while two kids suffered smoke inhalation.


One of the children also sustained a shoulder injury.

All three were taken stable to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

It’s not yet known what sparked the blaze.
