Woman wanted over road rage bashing of Gold Coast teen

A teenage driver has been punched in the face in a shocking road rage attack on the Gold Coast.

The 18-year-old from Tugun has told Police, she was driving northbound on the M1 at Worongary around 7.15am on Wednesday, when another driver tried to force her vehicle from the road.

The teen pulled over onto the shoulder of the highway, between Exit 75 and Exit 77, only to be confronted by the other female driver.

The woman, described as being in her 40s, pulled up in front of the teen’s vehicle, before walking over and punching her multiple times as she sat in the driver’s seat.

The younger woman was hit in the face and torso, suffering minor facial injuries.

The older woman then forcibly removed a windscreen wiper and punched the teen’s windscreen, causing damage, before driving away.

Police are now hunting for the older woman, who is described as Caucasian in appearance, average build, with blonde/grey hair and decayed teeth.

She was driving a white dual-cab utility and anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time is urged to come forward.
