A woman who tricked her friend into having sex by pretending to be a man for two years has been sentenced to eight years behind bars.
Gayle Newland, 25, from Cheshire, duped her friend by disguising her voice and appearance and persuading her to wear a blindfold when they met up.
The pair had sex about 10 times until the friend took off her mask and saw Gayle wearing a prosthetic penis.

It’s reported Gayle first contacted her friend in 2011 by creating a bogus Facebook profile in the name of Kye Fortune.
They spoke online and ‘Kye’ told her ‘he’ was recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident and a brain tumour, so was was not well enough to meet up so they spoke frequently on the phone.
However it wasn’t until the pair eventually met at a hotel in February 2013, that the sickening plot unraveled.
‘Kye’ convinced the friend to wear a blindfold because ‘he’ was insecure about ‘his’ scars.
They were said to have spent more than 100 hours together, having sex about 10 times until the friend finally discovered the truth.
“We were having sex and I grabbed for the back of his head and my hand got caught on something. It did not feel right. She told police.
“I was sat on the bed, he was standing up. Something in my mind said ‘pull it (the blindfold) off, pull it off’.
“Gayle was just standing there. I just couldn’t believe it.
“Straight away she held her hand down over her face and said ‘it’s not what you think’.”
Gayle was found guilty of three counts of sexual assault at Chester Crown Court and sentenced to eight years behind bars.
