Woman’s body found stuffed inside suitcase in river
Detectives are appealing for public assistance following the discovery of a woman’s body inside a suitcase in Western Australia.
Members of the public made the gruesome discovery in the Swan River near East Fremantle early Saturday morning.
Police have released images of the woman and the clothing she was wearing in the hope someone may help to identify her.
She is described as being of Asian appearance, about 158cm tall and 59kg in weight, about 35 to 45-years-old and with a red shade in her hair.
She was wearing a Kathmandu vest, a black T-shirt bearing a “Tokyo Disneyland” logo, and a long sleeve shirt.
The suitcase is a large blue travel suitcase bearing the brand “SB Polo” and also contained distinctive tiles.

Police are treating the woman’s death as suspicious and have encouraged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
