A Melbourne woman has been viciously attacked by a Pitbull who ripped off her cheek.
Emma McKnight, 37, was walking her Staffordshire bull terrier cross through streets in Frankston North when a pitbull emerged from a home and started attacking her dog.
Ms McKnight tried to protect her dog and the pitbull instead attacked the woman, mauling her face.

She was rushed to hospital where she was required to have 150 stitches as well as plastic surgery on her face.
The council seized the dog and its owner, a 34-year-old man has been arrested.
He is expected to be charged at a later date.
