Women attaked by stranger in random attack on Sydney street
POLICE are calling for witnesses to come forward after two women were attacked at random by a stranger on a street in Sydney’s west.
A man allegedly used a sharp object to strike a 33-year-old woman across the face on Harris Street around 9.15pm on Saturday before punching a second 59-year-old woman in the shoulder.
Police said the women did not their attacker, who remains at large.
He is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance with a black mullet-style haircut.
Police say the man is thought to frequent the Granville and Harris Park areas.
As inquiries continue, police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
