Woman killed, three injured in shocking Tweed crash
A woman has been killed in a horror crash in the Tweed that has left three others injured.
A Mazda 2 was travelling north on the Tweed Valley Way at Stokers Siding around 4.30pm on Monday afternoon when it collided with an Isuzu truck in a southbound turning lane heading towards Stokers Rd
A third vehicle, a Toyota Corolla was also hit in the collision.
An 80-year-old female passenger in the Mazda died at the scene.
The 83-year-old male driver of the Mazda was trapped for some time before being freed.
He was airlifted to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
The 32-year-old male driver of the Isuzu and the 60-year-old female driver of the Toyota were both taken to Tweed Heads Hospital with minor injuries.
Investigations into the accident are continuing.
