Women treated for burns after incident on flight to Gold Coast

TWO women have been treated for burns after they were reportedly injured in a ‘hot water incident’ on-board a flight to Gold Coast Airport.

It’s understood the pair were on a flight from Melbourne when the incident occurred around 7.45am.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson confirmed two people were assessed by paramedics at the scene in Coolangatta.

They have since been taken to Tweed Heads Hospital for treatment of hot water burns.

Queensland Ambulance confirmed they were transported in a stable condition.
