Supermarket giants Woolworths and Aldi opened their doors today at The Pines Elanora, unveiling the new look shopping centre along with a host of new specialty stores.
The stores will join the existing Coles, Kmart and specialty retailers all under one roof at The Pines Elanora.
The first major development at the centre since 2007 included the demolition of the old Woolworths store to build brand new space for one of the largest Woolworths in Queensland and a brand new Aldi, along with over 15 new specialty shops.

New retailers joining The Pines Elanora line-up on or after Wedneday 9th December include Crema Espresso and Crema Kids, Priceline, Earthborn Homewares, Massage Indulgence, Taboon, Australian Skin Clinics, ASAP Phone Fix, Income Tax Professionals and Optus.
A new rooftop carpark with 200 solar covered carpark spaces, lift and travelator has also opened, giving shoppers direct access to the newly developed northern mall.
Centre Manager, Hilary Jacobs, said the refreshing new centre gives locals a range of new shopping options to add to the old favourites. “From today, The Pines becomes the only centre on the Southern Gold Coast with all three major supermarkets, Coles, Woolworths and Aldi, under one roof,” she said. “We are thrilled to be able to bring a bigger and better Pines to our community.”
To celebrate the store openings, The Pines hosted free activities for the community, including free face painting, balloons, live music, giveaways and $1,000 worth of gift cards passed around to lucky shoppers in Random Acts of Kindness.
