Worker dies after being found unresponsive in underground mine

A man has died after being found unresponsive in an underground mine in NSW.

The 55-year-old man was found by a co-worker in an underground area of the mine, outside of Broken Hill around 3.30pm on Sunday.

He was evacuated out of the mine and treated by Paramedics at the scene, however died on the way to hospital.

Police say they are working with relevant parties to investigate the death of the man.
