Teenager Cyrus Villanueva was last night crowned the winner of X Factor Australia.
The 19-year-old from Wollongong, NSW broke down in tears while performing his new single, Stone, on the show moments after taking out the top spot.
Cyrus beat out country mum Louise Adams, 31, from Mt Gambier, and Sydney duo Jess Dunbar and Matt Price during Tuesday’s grand final showdown.

Speaking to 1029 Hot Tomato’s Flan & Emily Jade this morning, Cyrus sounded a little worse for wear after spending the whole night celebrating his big win. “It really hasn’t sunk in yet. It’s ridiculous,” he told the breakfast hosts.
He continued: “I came into the competition taking it one step at a time and I never thought I’d make it to the live shows. Each week has been crazy. I’m feeling super blessed.”
Flan & Emily Jade joked with Cyrus about how long host Luke Jacobs took to announce the winner announcement. “It felt like 15 minutes. Honestly it was ridiculous,” he said.
Cyrus Villanueva’s brand new single Stone is out now.
The Flan & Emily Jade Breakfast Show can be heard week days from 5am-9am on 102.9 Hot Tomato.
