Young boy rushed to hospital after suspected snake bite

A young boy has been rushed to hospital after being bitten by a suspected snake or spider in Queensland this morning.

Emergency services rushed to a residence in Clinton around 8.30am after receiving reports a six-year-old boy had been bitten.

A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman confirmed there were two puncture marks on the child however it remains unclear whether it was a bite from a spider or snake.

The child has been taken to Gladstone hospital in a stable condition for treatment and tests.
