Young child injured after being hit by car in Gold Coast driveway

UPDATE @ 5.15 PM | A young child has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car in the driveway of a home in Upper Coomera.

Emergency crews, including police and paramedics, were called to a house on Cessna Street just before 4.00pm on Friday.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC a male infant was treated at the scene for pelvic injuries.

He was then taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The High Acuity Response Unit was on board for transport to hospital.

EARLIER @ 4.20 PM | A young child has been hit by a car in the driveway of a home in Upper Coomera this afternoon.

Emergency crews, including police and critical care paramedics were called to a house on Cessna Street just before 4.00pm on Friday.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson told myGC a male infant has been hit by a vehicle.

The youngster is currently being treated on scene by paramedics for pelvic injuries.

His condition is not known at this stage.

Thanks for sharing Sharnee. I was interested how the bike rider had his accident. Roundabouts like this riders should take the full lane which is legal and at that time 6.40 am have good lights front and rear, Sad to hear. R.I.P.
