Young duo fighting for life after Logan caravan fire

A 22-year-old man and 20-year-old woman are in hospital fighting for life after a caravan caught alight in Logan overnight.

Emergency services were called to a Wilbur Street address in Logan Central around 11pm on Monday where they found the caravan well alight.

The man and woman were treated for serious injuries by paramedics before they were rushed to the hospital in critical conditions.

“We responded multiple paramedic units including the High Acuity Response Unit,” QAS Medical Director Dr Stephen Rashford said.

“Two patients in their 20s required significant resuscitation and were transferred to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with critical burn injuries.”

Queensland Police have confirmed a crime scene has been established as investigators try to determine the cause of the blaze.
