Young girl airlifted to hosiptal after being mauled by family dog

A young girl has been airlifted to hospital after being bitten on the face by her family dog.

Around 6.00pm on Sunday, the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter was tasked to airlift the 13-year-old girl from Maryborough Hospital to the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane for further treatment.

She was airlifted in a stable condition and is currently recovering in hospital.
