Young girl critically injured in Qld house fire dies in hospital
A young girl has died after suffering critical burns in a house fire at Gympie.
The 12-year-old was among four people inside the home when the blaze broke out in the early hours of Monday morning.
Three people managed to escape, however the young girl had to be rescued by fire crews after becoming trapped in her bedroom.
She passed away at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital on Wednesday morning.
