Police have confirmed they are treating the death of an 11-year-old girl north of the Gold Coast as non-suspicious.
Officers were called to the home at Mount Cotton on Thursday where officers discovered the girl’s body.
The cause of death is not yet known.

A woman in her 40s was taken to the Redland Bay Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives say the woman and girl are known to each other but haven’t confirmed if they woman is the girl’s mother.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are continuing.
An autopsy is due to be carried out today.
